Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does the felt stick?

A: Felt clings to felt without the need of velcro or adhesives. The fibers on the back help it stick to felt or a similar surface. Felt, flannel, certain fabrics such as cloth pews at church, nugget like couches, etc  can all be used with our felts. The reason you see velcro in some cheap felt sets is because it is poor quality of felt, a Chinese knockoff or it is a company that does not understand the characteristics of felt. We use a high quality polyester felt in all of our products. Made to last for many years if properly taken care of.

Q: Help, my felt figure is not sticking very well to my board. What do I do?

A: Our felt is to be used on traditional style polyester felt boards. From time to time, there may be a stubborn figure that does not want to stick. We suggest using an old toothbrush, nail file or sand paper to gently loosen some of the fibers on the back of the felt piece. This loosens a few more fibers to help it stick better.

Q: What is the difference from toggle size and the regular size Bible felts?

A: Toggle/mini/small size is the smallest size available. An adult figure is about 2-3” tall. Toggle size is typically used with 1-4 kids. In our regular size, adult figures are 4.5-6” tall. These figures are used in groups up to about 10 kids.

Q: What does unmounted mean?

A: An unmounted felt background is just the felt. There is no backing to it.

Q: How do I use an unmounted background?

A: Unmounted backgrounds can be used as is by tacking it to a wall with velcro or it can be draped over an existing flannel board. To make it into a flannel board with a backing, cut a piece of cardboard, coroplast or something similar to the size you want. Glue the felt to the backing. We use spray glue but hot glue or craft glue will work fine too.

Q: I lost a piece. How do I get a replacement?

A: Email us for replacement pieces. Replacement pieces are usually $1 or more depending on what it is and the size. Larger pieces will cost more. Shipping may be charged for replacement pieces.
